The Algarve hills start just minutes from Albufeira, and that is where these tours happen: dirt roads between cork oaks and strawberry trees, small villages and viewpoints with the coast below. You always ride as a group, with a guide leading and a safety briefing before setting off — no experience needed, only a driving licence.
Quad or buggy? A quad (ATV) handles like a motorbike, carries one or two people and is the most direct of the two — you sit on the vehicle with the hills all around you. As for length: the 1h30 circuit is the most popular — enough to taste the dust, take on the first climbs and stop at a viewpoint. The 3-hour tour goes further from the coast, with longer trails and stops in inland villages. Pick-up in Albufeira at 9:00 or 14:00, and the tour sets off about 30 minutes later.

What happens in bad weather?
Tours run normally even in rain or wind. If conditions are severe and affect safety, the customer is contacted to reschedule or receive a refund.
