About this activity

An interactive zoo inland in the Algarve, at Algoz: rescued animals you can meet up close, pools with slides, an 18-hole mini golf course and outdoor activities for the full day.

Krazy World is an inland park at Algoz, and it does the opposite of almost everything else on offer in the Algarve: instead of the coast, it takes the family into the countryside. It's an interactive zoo — the animals aren't only seen from a distance, and sessions with lemurs and reptiles are included with entry.

Around the zoo there's a full day of things to do. The pools with slides and the spray park handle the hottest hours; the 18-hole mini golf is included in the ticket; and there's an area where children groom ponies and donkeys, which tends to be the part they talk about on the way home.

The more adventurous activities are paid separately and earn their price: tree climbing through the canopy, pedal karts, pony rides and paintball for groups. None of it needs booking ahead — you go in and choose on the day.

Opening hours change through the year and the park closes on Wednesdays in November, so it's worth confirming the day before making the drive.

Children under 3 go free; ages 4 to 10 pay the child ticket, 11 to 64 the standard one and 65+ the senior ticket, which costs the same as the child one. There is a family ticket (2 adults + 1 child) and an Algarve resident discount, given at the ticket office with proof. Extra activities are paid on site: tree climbing €4.95, pedal karts €3, pony ride €3. Sunbed €4.95 (a pair with a parasol €11.95) and lockers with a €10 cash deposit. Most of the park's animals come through national bodies and animal welfare associations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the ticket cover everything inside the park?

It covers the body of the visit: the whole zoo, the shows and the pools. What is paid separately are the adventure activities — treetop course, pedal karts, pony ride and paintball — plus sunloungers and lockers. The prices are listed on this page and are paid at the park itself.

What is the latest I can arrive?

Last entry is one hour before closing. Arriving in the morning gives you time for the animals and the activities without rushing.

Are there lockers?

Yes, with a €10 deposit refunded at the end. Sunloungers are also available to hire.

Can I bring my own food?

Yes, and there are picnic areas for it. What you cannot bring is glass or sharp objects.

What animals will we see?

More than 50 species — lemurs, kangaroos, snakes and goats, among others.

Is there a parking charge?

No. Parking is free.

Can I bring my pet?

No, except for guide dogs with proper documentation.
