About this activity
About ten minutes at 80 metres above Albufeira bay, taking off and landing on the boat — you do not need to know how to swim.
One of the most thrilling experiences in the Algarve: harnessed to a parachute and towed by a boat, you rise up to 80 metres for a unique view over Albufeira bay.
And the objection almost everyone has does not apply here: take-off and landing are done from the boat, with the crew holding everything. You do not need to know how to swim and you do not get in the water — at most your feet get wet as the parachute comes down. It is about ten minutes up there, and a 360º view you cannot get anywhere else.

More information
The activity runs on the Enjoy The Sea speedboat. Flights can be solo, tandem or triple, depending on weight. Whether you fly solo, in a pair or in a three is decided on the day: the call is the skipper’s, based on the sea, the wind and the combined weight. A child always flies accompanied.

Frequently Asked Questions
What languages is the activity in?
The crew or guide speak Portuguese and English.
Will I get wet?
Barely. Take-off and landing happen from the boat, so you never enter the water and you do not need to be able to swim — the aim is not to dive. As the parachute comes down at the end you may get your feet wet, and that is as far as it goes.
Can I fly solo?
You can, if your weight allows. There are solo, tandem and triple flights, and weight is what decides which one you take — the crew confirms it at check-in.
Can children fly?
They can, and it is one of the experiences that works best with children — there is no effort involved, you are seated and the climb is slow. What the activity requires is weight rather than age: between 20 kg and 120 kg. Under-16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The flight is only 10 minutes. What about the rest of the time?
The flight itself lasts about 10 minutes, and that is the part you are buying. The rest of the time on board — up to 1h30 in total — is leaving the marina, each group taking its turn in the air, and coming back, with the Albufeira coast going by. The more people flying on that run, the longer you are out at sea.
Is there a photo and video service?
Yes, at an extra cost.
Can children take part?
Yes. Under-16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
How long does it last?
The flight itself lasts about 10 minutes. Total time at sea can be up to 1h30, as the boat takes several groups and each one flies in turn.
How many people fly at once?
Between one and three, depending on the day. The skipper decides, weighing up the wind, the swell and the weight of those flying.
Is there a minimum or maximum weight?
Yes: minimum 20 kg, maximum 120 kg. The largest life jacket available is a 3XL, fitting chests between 117 and 125 cm.
